Free SEO Tools for Freelance Authors

SEO Tools for Freelancers. Whether you are a new freelancer writer, or an experience one on a small budget or negligible budget just trying to make money online, finding good, free, SEO tools to help with your writing can sometimes be challenging to find. Two tools that I was introduced to early in my freelance writing for general article production that I still use are: Wordtracker and Textalyzer.
SEO Tools – Finding Key Words and Phrases Using Wordtracker
So, how do you find keywords? You will find a number of services and software applications that you can purchase to do this for you when searching about the web. Why pay though when you’re just starting out? An industry favorite, is the free version of Wordtracker . Wordtracker is an on-line tool that help you figure out which keywords and keyphrases are relevant and likely to be used by users of search engines. Wordtracker updates their database of search terms weekly and is a great place to start your refinement of potential key words or phrases for your article. Using Wordtracker is easy. Start out by typing in a search term or phrase. In this case, we are going to search on the phrase “making money” to see what the best key phrases in the database are to use.
As you can see, making money was the most searched on phrase, whereas the phrase “making money online” was used at almost double the rate that “making money on the Internet” was searched. Once you have written for a while, you won’t have to use key word tools such as Wordtracker as much to accomplish you goals, but it never hurts to double check! You can check out the Wordtracker tool at their website, http://freekeywords.wordtracker.com .
SEO Tools – Analyzing Key Word and Phrase Frequency Using Textalyzer
Once you’ve found your keywords and written your prose, you’ll want to analyze the text. A freely available online tool to do so, is the Textalyzer. The Textalyzer is an online text analysis tool which provides detailed analysis of your text. It provides you detailed information on the word groupings, keyword density, as well as other great information. You can input your article to the tool two ways: 1 – Through direct copy and paste of the text, or 2 – Through a on-line webpage URL (Uniform Resource Locator). The Textalyzer will also provide you feedback on the readability of the article based on industry standards.
You’ll find both of these tools useful whether writing your first freelance article , or just optimizing the SEO for new articles !

Good info! Marketleap has a free online keyword verification tool that will tell you if you’re on the first three pages of the search engines and you can also check link popularity with it. Ciao.

[...] SEO Tools. Most experienced freelance authors are familiar with Google Adwords and their associated SEO author tool. In the last few months, Google has also released a new search-based keyword tool to help you generate additional keyword ideas relevant to your website based on monthly user queries in Google. The new tool helps bridge the gap from what consumers are actually searching on that might relate to your website compared to keywords that you ‘think’ are still relevant. The Search-based tool will display a listing of relevant queries along with the monthly search frequency which can be considered for use with re-tooling old information on the web site or for creating new content and marketing strategies for SEO authoring.
